40-year-old woman allegedly commits suicide by consuming poison; family suspects murder

A 40-year-old divorced woman allegedly ended her life by consuming poison in Tando Adam, while her family has raised suspicions of murder.

According to reports, the incident took place near Rasheed Colony within the jurisdiction of Tando Adam City Police Station, where Kajal, daughter of Muhammad Naeem Memon, allegedly consumed poison. Her body was shifted to Taluka Hospital for post-mortem, after which it was handed over to the family.

Sources revealed that the deceased was reportedly involved in an affair with a young man for the past two years.

Meanwhile, her brother Gulshir accused unknown persons of poisoning his sister, claiming she had been murdered. He demanded that a case be registered and a thorough investigation be conducted.

Police officials, however, stated that the family had initially informed the police about the death but proceeded with burial arrangements. They added that once any family member approaches the police with a formal complaint, legal action will be taken according to the law.
