Multiple Plot Sales Alleged in Tando Adam Housing Schemes; Affectees Demand Action
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Residents staged a protest at the local press club on Tuesday against alleged fraudulent practices by owners of private housing schemes, accusing them of selling the same plots to multiple buyers and depriving citizens of millions of rupees.
Led by members of the Bhan community, including Mohammad Nawaz Behan and Aqeel Ahmed Behan, the demonstrators claimed that the management of housing schemes identified as “Lake City” and “Satellite Town” had sold identical plots to two or more individuals through deceptive means.
Speaking to the media, the protesters alleged that despite purchasing plots legally, they later discovered that the same properties had been resold to other parties. They maintained that several such transactions had taken place, resulting in financial losses running into crores of rupees.
The speakers further accused the scheme owners of colluding with revenue officials to illegally include state land and watercourses in their projects and subsequently selling them to unsuspecting buyers.
The protesters called upon higher authorities to order an impartial inquiry into the matter and register cases against those involved. They warned that failure to take action would compel them to expand their protest and seek legal recourse through the courts.
