1500th Celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, 41-Day Events to Begin from August24

The Markazi Eid Milad-un-Nabi Committee has finalized preparations to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in a grand manner. A series of 41-day Milad gatherings have been scheduled, commencing on Sunday, August 24, after Isha prayers at Makki Masjid Ghousia.
The opening event will coincide with the Urs of Mujaddid Alif Sani and Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Brelvi, while other gatherings will be held at various venues across the city. Daily recitation of Durood Sharif will take place after Isha prayers at Makki Masjid Ghousia.
On the 11th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, a special Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa (PBUH) will be held at Makki Masjid Ghousia, featuring the sacred relic (Mou-e-Mubarak) for visitation. At dawn, salutations will be presented to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) followed by special prayers.
The grand procession of Jashn-e-Baharan will be taken out on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal at 9:00 am from Muhammadi Chowk, proceeding through traditional routes to M.A. Jinnah Road, where a public gathering will be addressed by renowned scholars. The procession will conclude at Muhammadi Chowk with collective recitation of Durood, Salam, and prayers.
The city will be decorated with green flags, lights, and ornamental arches. This tradition of 41-day celebrations has been observed continuously for the past 23 years under the leadership of Moulana Muhammad Ali Qadri, along with Asif Ansari, Waseem Sheikh, and other committee members.
