NAB Team Launches Investigation into Thela Group Fraud Case
Sanghar (Hasnain Aashiq Saand) A National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur team, led by Deputy Director Waqas Akram, reached Tando Adam to investigate a multi-million rupee fraud case involving the so-called “Thela Group,” allegedly run under the guise of a vehicle investment scheme.
The NAB team held proceedings at the office of the Assistant Commissioner Tando Adam, where statements from affected citizens were recorded and documentary evidence was collected.
Speaking to the media, victim Qasim Durrani said that complaints had been filed with NAB Sukkur against the notorious group members Jahangir, Jahanzeb, and Abdullah. “After three hearings, the NAB team has finally arrived and collected agreements and evidence from all victims,” he said.
According to the victims, the accused lured local businessmen by promising high profits. Initially, small returns were paid to gain confidence, but later the group allegedly embezzled Millions of rupees before fleeing the city.
It is pertinent to mention that the accused have been absconding for a considerable time, while a case against them is already registered at the City Police Station. Victims have demanded that NAB ensure the recovery of their hard-earned money and take strict action against those involved.
