Armed Attack on Policeman’s House in Tando Adam Women and Children Assaulted, Death Threats Issued; In Separate Incident, Couple Protests Alleged House Occupation
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Armed men allegedly attacked the house of a police constable in the village of Qabul Shah near Tando Adam, assaulting women and children and issuing death threats. Police constable Nazar Muhammad Baloch, along with his daughter Zohra, sister Safia, and other family members, staged a protest outside the local press club, accusing Aziz Baloch, Rahman Baloch, Dano Baloch, Talal, and Bilal Baloch of the attack.
Speaking to the media, Nazar Muhammad claimed that five months ago, during a robbery in Tando Adam in which Gulam Rasool Rajput was killed, his son Zubair Baloch was falsely implicated, while the actual suspects, Naveed and Ameen, remain at large. He alleged that Aziz Baloch had demanded 1.5 million rupees to have his son’s name removed from the case. When he refused due to financial hardship, the accused began harassing him, issuing death threats, and eventually attacking his home. He appealed to higher authorities for protection and justice.
In a separate incident, a couple from Mohammadi Colony in Tando Adam protested at the press club against the alleged illegal occupation of their house and physical assault. Liaquat Rajput Chohan and his wife Asma claimed that Asim Sheikh, along with accomplices, attacked their home, beat them, and forcibly evicted them before taking over the property.
Liaquat alleged that some days earlier, Asim Sheikh had him arrested through the police and tortured. According to the couple, Asim Sheikh claims the property was sold to him by Liaquat’s elder relatives a claim they deny. They further alleged that the accused, using his influence, is threatening to implicate them in false cases while police refuse to take action. The couple appealed to the Sanghar SSP and other authorities for justice and protection.
