Sad that Maryam Nawaz has to personally open gutters: Saadia Javed

Karachi (Web Desk) – Sindh government spokesperson Saadia Javed criticized the PML-N, stating that the absence of a local government system in Pakistan's largest province is an injustice to the public. When local bodies are non-functional, the Chief Minister has to run advertisements, she added.

In her statement, Saadia Javed expressed regret that Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has to personally oversee gutter cleaning and sanitation. In contrast, during Eid-ul-Adha, Sindh’s local representatives worked efficiently—cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana witnessed exemplary cleanliness.

She praised the mayors and chairmen of Sindh for their remarkable work, calling the Solid Waste Management Board workers the true heroes of this Eid. She said that after the devolution of powers to the grassroots level, Sindh's public representatives performed admirably. She urged the Punjab government to hold local body elections without delay.
