District Coordination Committee Sanghar Meeting Held Under Deputy Commissioner

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A meeting of the District Coordination Committee (DCC), formed under the National Action Plan (NAP), was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Committee Chairperson Sarah Javed.


Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed stated that the federal and provincial governments have directed the formation of District Coordination Committees, led by Deputy Commissioners, to ensure effective implementation of the National Action Plan at the district level. She said the committee includes heads of police, excise, intelligence agencies, and officers from departments such as food, agriculture, energy, labor, social welfare, women development, and Auqaf, along with other law enforcement representatives.


She emphasized that the primary objectives of the committee are to take action against illegal petrol pumps, units, and agencies, curb drug trafficking, prevent electricity theft, restrict the sale and purchase of non-custom paid goods, and facilitate the registration of religious seminaries (madaris).


DC Sarah Javed further stated that monthly meetings will be held to review the progress of operations, and reports will be submitted to the federal and provincial apex committees. She urged all officers to maintain close coordination with the district administration, keep their mobile phones accessible at all times, and respond swiftly and effectively to counter any false propaganda to prevent public panic.


She also directed committee members to intensify their operations in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Provincial Apex Committee to ensure timely reporting.


The meeting was attended by SSP Sanghar Ghulam Nabi Keerio, Assistant Director Women Development Hina Khan, Chairman Ushr & Zakat Zulfiqar Chandio, Muslim Farooq from Social Welfare, Assistant Commissioners of all tehsils, and other committee members.
