May 7 Air Clash Between Pakistan and India Concluded in Pakistan’s Favor: U.S. Defense Journal

A leading U.S. defense publication, The National Interest, has stated that the aerial confrontation between Pakistan and India on May 7 ended with Pakistan gaining a clear upper hand.

According to the report, many military analysts had initially predicted an advantage for India due to its numerical strength and larger resources. However, the events of May 7 suggested otherwise, with Pakistan demonstrating aerial superiority during the encounter.

The journal noted that after the incident, Pakistan announced significant achievements, and notably, there was no denial from the Indian military — a silence that has raised questions about India's position in the clash.

The National Interest further reported that Pakistan used Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets equipped with PL-15 missiles to shoot down five Indian aircraft, which allegedly included three of the advanced and costly French-made Rafale jets.

The report also pointed out that the incident sent a strong signal to Western observers: Chinese defense technology is not to be underestimated.
