Sanghar administration launches anti-polio drive, urges collective responsibility

Sanghar(Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sarah Javed and District Chairman Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Khurasani have urged every member of society to actively support the efforts for complete eradication of polio. They said that public cooperation with the district administration and health department is vital to ensure a healthy and disability-free future for children.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the anti-polio campaign held at the District Council Hall, they announced that the week-long drive would continue from October 13 to 19, 2025 across the district. The campaign was formally inaugurated by administering polio drops to children.

DC Sarah Javed directed officers of all departments, including the revenue wing, to remain present in the field throughout the campaign and to avoid leaving headquarters without permission.

District Chairman Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Khurasani, conveying a special message from Sindh Chief Minister, urged all elected representatives and community leaders to extend full support to polio teams in their respective union councils.

He added that with collective commitment and coordinated efforts, Sanghar district and the entire country can achieve the goal of becoming completely polio-free.
