Vigilance Committee Meeting in Sanghar Emphasizes Enforcement of Labour Laws and Elimination of Child Labour

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The District Vigilance Committee Sanghar held a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Majeed Zehrani. Representatives from various government departments, officials, and committee members attended the session.

The meeting focused on ensuring the effective implementation of labour laws across the district. The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed brick kiln owners to strictly adhere to labour regulations, refrain from using prohibited fuels, and adopt environment-friendly practices.

He further instructed that all workers should be registered with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) so they can receive pensions after the age of 60. He emphasized the need for concrete measures to prevent child labour and ensure compliance with labour standards, noting that such actions would improve administrative efficiency.

Those present at the meeting included In-charge Police Complaint Cell Rao Wajid, Additional Director Social Welfare Muslim Farooq, Assistant Director NADRA Shahnawaz Chachar, Chief Officer of the District Council, and other concerned officials.
