Wife of Murdered Tando Adam Industrialist Sent on Three-Day Police Remand

Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) The wife of slain power plant owner and textile trader Ghulam Rasool Gujar was presented before a judicial magistrate on Wednesday in connection with the double murder of her husband and mother-in-law in Nawaz Town, Tando Adam.

The investigating officer, Inspector Hadi Shah of Tando Adam Police, produced the suspect, Tania, before Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Waqas Qureshi, who granted a three-day physical remand for further investigation. Lady police officers accompanied the accused during the court appearance.

According to police, Tania wife of the deceased is a nominated suspect in FIR No. 241/2025, registered under sections 302, 120, 404, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). She is alleged to have been involved in the brutal murder of her husband, Ghulam Rasool Gujar, and his mother, Razia Begum.

The incident took place on October 2, 2025, at the victims’ residence in Nawaz Town. The FIR was lodged by the deceased's brother, Muhammad Yaseen, son of Muhammad Ismail Gujar, at the Tando Adam City Police Station.

Police have also named Ghulam Rasool’s brother-in-law, Sanwal, as a co-accused in the case. The motive behind the killings is still under investigation.

Public Prosecutor Tariq Aziz Ghouri was present in court during the remand proceedings.

The case has sparked significant attention in the local business community, given the victim's prominent status as a factory owner and trader in the region.
